• Member of the editorial boards of Geologica Carpathica and Palaegeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology
• Vice-Chair of the Subcommission on Cretaceous Stratigraphy of the International Commission on Stratigraphy and Member of the Working Group on the ‘Anthropocene’
