Research Interests:
- Rock deformation processes and the associated fluid-rock interactions
- Rock microstructures, especially associated with brittle faults and dendrite formation
- Stylolite origin and evolution; pressure-solution creep
- Image processing and data visualization in 2D and 3D
PhD Project:
Glock Health, Science and Research GmbH (Austria) funded project: UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle)-assisted, (micro-)structural and petrological/geochemical investigation of fault-related deformation processes and the growth of 3D dendrites in clinoptilolite (at Nižný Hrabovec, Slovak Republic).
- High-resolution UAV mapping
- High-resolution microstructural investigations using Keyence digital microscopy and electron microscopy (e.g. SEM-SE and BSE, EDS, X-ray microtomography)
- Image processing via ImageJ, Scikit-image coding and Matlab programming
