The OMV Exploration & Production organized together with the Department of Geodynamics and Sedimentology the OMV Employer of Choice Day (EOC) in order to inform the students of Earth Sciences about career opportunities and future development at the OMV.

The EOC was opened with welcome notes by Thilo Hofmann (Dean of the Faculty for Geosciences, Geography and Astronomy) and Karl Schwaha (Vice-Rector of the University of Vienna). After a short introduction about the past successful collaboration of the OMV with the University of Vienna by Kurt Decker (Department of Geodynamics and Sedimentology), Walter Hamilton (Senior Vice President Exploration), Herwig Peresson (Geoscience Skill Pool Manager), Ralf Bischoff (Head of Production Geology & Geophysics) and Ahmad Inaam (Group Talent Manager) presented the OMV company, possible job profiles and career opportunities at the OMV. After a short break, students from the University of Vienna presented their results from OMV funded geological projects.

The EOC was attended by about 100 students of Earth Sciences at the University of Vienna. In the evening the OMV invited all participants to an informal get-together dinner to the Brandauers Bierbögen.
